Director of Operations APPLY NOW

New York, NY
Operations
Full time

ELOREA is seeking a Director of Operations to lead and scale the operational infrastructure of our growing omnichannel business across e-commerce, retail, wholesale, and international markets.

This role will oversee supply chain, inventory planning, logistics, operational systems, retail operations, and cross-functional execution. The ideal candidate is both strategic and highly hands-on: someone who can identify opportunities, build better systems and processes, and drive execution across a fast-growing organization.

The Director of Operations will play a critical role in helping ELOREA operate more efficiently, improve visibility and accountability across the business, and support continued growth while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and customer experience.

The ELOREA team is inspired by the Korean concept of Jeong — the sense of connection, care, and mutual responsibility that develops between people over time. We value teammates who approach their work with generosity, accountability, and a willingness to help others succeed.

Responsibilities

Supply Chain & Inventory

  • Lead inventory planning, forecasting, and allocation across e-commerce, retail, wholesale, and international channels.
  • Develop purchasing and replenishment strategies that optimize inventory levels, working capital, and product availability.
  • Identify and implement best practices for inventory planning, demand forecasting, and inventory management.
  • Manage warehousing and 3PL strategy to improve cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, fulfillment speed, and service levels.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships in collaboration with Product Innovation, including forecasts, purchase orders, production timelines, and delivery expectations.
  • Oversee domestic and international freight, logistics, customs, and product movement between markets.
  • Identify supply chain risks and proactively develop contingency plans to minimize disruption.

Retail & Omnichannel Operations

  • Develop scalable operating standards, processes, and reporting across ELOREA retail locations.
  • Partner with store leadership to improve productivity, labor efficiency, inventory accuracy, customer experience, and store profitability.
  • Support new store openings, pop-ups, events, and market expansion from planning through execution.
  • Ensure inventory is effectively allocated across channels and locations based on demand, strategic priorities, and performance.
  • Partner with Customer Experience and retail teams to identify and resolve operational issues affecting the customer journey.

Planning, Analytics & Financial Management

  • Partner with Finance and senior leadership on operational forecasting, budgeting, purchasing plans, inventory investment, and cash requirements.
  • Develop and maintain operating KPIs across inventory, retail, fulfillment, logistics, labor, and vendor performance.
  • Conduct regular reporting and analysis for senior management, clearly identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
  • Develop business cases and recommendations using a data-driven approach and drive execution of approved initiatives.
  • Translate complex operational data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across the organization.

Systems & Process

  • Own the evaluation, implementation, and continued improvement of operational systems and processes, including ERP, inventory management, POS, EDI, logistics, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows, improve data accuracy, and reduce manual processes.
  • Establish clear SOPs, controls, and accountability across key operational functions.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen service levels.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Marketing, Product Innovation, Retail, E-commerce, and other teams to execute key company initiatives.
  • Lead operational planning for product launches, packaging changes, wholesale programs, retail expansion, and other strategic projects.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational and organizational risks and escalate critical issues to senior leadership.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team as the organization grows.
  • Help establish a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across ELOREA.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in operations, supply chain, retail operations, or a related function, ideally within a high-growth consumer business.
  • Demonstrated experience with inventory planning, forecasting, purchasing, logistics, warehousing, and third-party vendors.
  • Experience operating within an omnichannel business across retail, e-commerce, and/or wholesale.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including forecasting, budgeting, KPI development, and business case analysis.
  • Experience using ERP and inventory management systems; familiarity with EDI, POS, logistics, and related software integrations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects from strategy through execution.
  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to align stakeholders across different functions and levels of the organization.
  • Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable making decisions with imperfect information.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to operate both strategically and tactically.
  • High degree of integrity, ownership, and accountability.
  • Experience in beauty, fragrance, fashion, luxury, or another inventory-intensive consumer business strongly preferred.
  • Experience building and developing high-performing teams.
  • Korean language proficiency is a plus, but not required.

Benefits & Work Environment

  • Four-day workweek: ELOREA operates on a four-day workweek as our standard schedule. As a fast-growing company, occasional business-critical projects, launches, or deadlines may require additional flexibility.
  • 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees.
  • In-person working environment: This is an office-based position and is not eligible for remote work. We believe staying close to our customers, stores, products, and teams is essential to making better decisions and building a stronger brand.
